Opened in 1939, VDNH celebrates its birthday on 1 August. Today, VDNH is one of the most iconic venues in Moscow where history and modernity are deeply intertwined. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of historic pavilions and other facilities of the complex. In addition to that, VDNH offers lots of activities and services for people of all ages. In the summertime, you can go cycling, rent a boat, take a walk along the unique suspended eco-trail and even learn how to wakeboard.
You can also visit Moskvarium (or Moscow Oceanarium), the legendary Space Pavilion which houses Russia's largest space museum, the Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre and other venues designed for insightful and pleasant recreation.
Over 80 years of existence the exposition has changed its name several times: All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSHV), Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNH) and All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VVC). It was originally aimed at exhibiting achievements of the national economy for Muscovites and tourists. Today, it is an enormous recreational, educational and cultural centre.
To celebrate the exhibition's birthday, project #Москвастобой (#Moscowwithyou) has selected the most interesting activities offered by VDNH!
