The State Historical Museum is Russia's largest national historical museum that showcases archaeological artefacts, numismatic items, weapons, household items, paintings and examples of decorative art. The complex of the museum also includes Saint Basil's Cathedral, the Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812 and Chambers of the Romanov Boyars.
