During this tour you will learn about opposition of the two famous Renaissance sculptors Lorenzo Ghiberti and Filippo Brunelleschi who took part in an artistic contest to create the northern gate of the main Baptistery at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower. The tour guide will tell you what Italy was like at that time, and why this era is called the "Renaissance" and when it began.
